Creme Brulee French Toast

Soft, buttery brioche bread chunks with a crunchy caramel creme brulee coating... Baked in creamy vanilla custard... Finished with a dusting of icing sugar and drizzle of warm caramel sauce

A deliciously simple, rich and indulgent brunch or dessert bake, inspired by the flavours of a classic creme brulee

Ingredients
š M&S Brioche Rolls
š® M&S Collection Vanilla CustardĀ
š® M&S Salted Caramel Sauce
š§ 100g soft butterĀ
š¬ 80g caster sugarĀ
Method
Chop brioche rolls into bite size chunks,Ā in a bowl mix room temperature butter and sugar, mix well
Add a tablespoon of the butter and sugar mix into your pan and allow it to melt on low medium heat
Toss in a handful of brioche bread chunks, moving them around the pan, adding more butter if you need, as soon as they go golden theyāre readyĀ
Take the brioche chunks out the pan and place on a cooling rack allowing them to cool whilst you prepare another batch
Pour the custard into the bottom of your serving dish, then add the brioche bread chunks, pressing into the custard
Pop your dish in the oven at 160 fan for 10 minutes to warm throughĀ
Dust over the top of your bake with icing sugar and finish by gently warming caramel sauce and drizzling over the top. Enjoy!Ā
